The film and theatre garments I describe here were designed by wonderfully talented designers, who I had the pleasure of working with as a

cutter. After receiving the design brief, I created the patterns and cut out the garment ready to be prepared for the first fitting. After a number of

fittings, usually with the designer and or design assistant present, and sometimes the producers and director, the outfit is ready to be sewn for

completion. In some instances I completed the whole garment, but most were stitched together by incredibly skilled sewers who I supervised

through the process.
